One of the oldest streets in the old center of Zemun, Bezanijska Street, was traced back to the Roman Taurunum, while in its present form it was formed in the middle of the 18th century. It opened the first department store in the city and was erected by Vlada Stakic upon his return from America, at the site of his family home and blacksmith shop.
